The air is still on the cool mountain night as Obama speaks to the nation. The speech has the feel of a State of the Union more than a campaign speech. The state of the union, according to Obama, is not good.

"Eight is enough," says Obama of Republican rule. Eight years that have led the country in the wrong direction, according to the nominee.

The crowd of 75,000 is in a trance in this stadium.

"If John McCain wants to have a debate about who has the judgment and temperament to be commander in chief that is a debate I welcome," declares Obama, directly addressing what is perceived as his main weakness. The crowd jumps to its feet in a roar.

"Let me spell out exactly what change would mean if I am president, " says Barack Obama here at Invesco Field.

Obama recounts his family story of diversity and hardship to point out that, "I am not sure what kind of celebrity lives John McCain is thinking of, but this is my life."

"This election has never been about me, it's about you," Obama states.

In this election, he says, "change should not come from Washington, change must come to Washington."
