Why Us 'Fat Pigs' And 'Slobs' Won't Vote For Donald Trump

In the Republican presidential primary debate on August 6, 2015, Donald Trump failed to retract or even apologize for calling some women "fat pigs" and "slobs." When questioned by Megyn Kelly about whether he was part of the "war on women," Trump responded that he didn't "frankly have time for total political correctness." Apparently, misogyny is a time saver. Who knew?

So what Donald Trump is really saying is that anything can be justified if it saves time. It actually takes more time to say two words such as "fat pig" than one word, such as Ma'am or Miss or Ms. or Rosie. But that is not the point, Mr. Trump. Even if it took less time to be mean and dismissive of a segment of the electorate, that doesn't justify such infantile and rude behavior.

And don't call it "political correctness," Donald Trump. Just call it what it is. It's being considerate instead of being rude. It's being kind instead of being mean. It's treating another human being with respect instead of denigrating them for their appearance. It's called manners.

So think about this, Donald Trump: You will never be elected the Republican nominee for president if you insult and anger half of the Republican voters You will never be elected to the office of President of the United States if we "fat pigs" and "slobs" refused to vote for you. Think about that before you try to "save time" in the future.
