The Connecticut Democratic Party Convention starts tonight, and some within the party are trying to keep Connecticut voters from having a choice in the election by blocking U.S. Senate candidate Merrick Alpert from addressing the delegates.

Alpert is running against current Attorney General Richard Blumenthal - who has come under fire for making misleading statements about his service in the military.

Alpert wants to address the Convention to argue for a competitive Democratic primary, rather than a "coronation" of Blumenthal - who he argues would never make it through the general election given the controversy already surrounding his campaign.

The Connecticut voters deserve a choice over who represents them in the U.S. Senate. Please contact the Connecticut Democratic Party and tell them to let Merrick Alpert speak!
