In the wake of the recent Jeremy Lin/ESPN fiasco, right-wing pundit Glenn Beck continues to vent a torrent of manufactured rage against ESPN for what he calls their "failure to exercise their First Amendment right to free speech by not choosing to not fire a writer who used the Asian equivalent of the 'n-word' in a headline."

"ESPN's a corporate person with the right to free speech," a studiously outraged Beck fumed. "So I'm pretty sure that somehow means ESPN had the constitutional right to not fire that headline writer. But no, they were obviously less concerned with standing behind one racially insensitive employee than they were with protecting the livelihood of all the other thousands of innocent ESPN employees, weren't they?"

He added, "Who's going to hire that guy now? I mean, where in this industry he going to find an employer who courts controversy by supporting on-air racial insensitivity? I can't think of any, but I wish him luck."
