Damiana Garcia (front) and I help the queens of RuPaul's Drag Race pay it forward -- in song!
"Where my people at?" Well, if you mean our queens on RuPaul's Drag Race this week, they're all up in the recording studio getting their benefit anthem on, "We Are the World"-style. And, the results, IMHO, are brilliant and drag-spiring!
Yes, kids, I love a feel-good single from a supergroup, and it doesn't get more super than a bunch of queens wearing '80s DayGlo and singing about weaves and tucks! (Keep your eyes peeled for a mini cameo from WOW's plucky news-lady Damiana Garcia too!)
So enjoy this week's recap, which celebrates all good things: showboating during a group number, looting, the Pointer Sisters, La Toya Jackson, Jesse Spano and Hot Sundae and doing scandalous things in the dark.
And then scooch right over to iTunes and purchase the "Can I Get an Amen" single, and you'll not only get the song of the summer 2013, but you'll be helping kids who benefit from the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Homeless Youth Services. Nice! Gay it forward, kids!
WARNING: If you've not seen this week's musical extravaganza yet, tote your neon-pink scrunchie over to LogoTV.com pronto! Next week, apparently, there's a roast coming! Yum!
