Santa Clara, CA - The time has come, the Forty-Niners are off to play the Baltimore Ravens for their first preseason game of the season. Unlike years past, the 49ers have improved in various positions especially with their offense.

We know that the preseason doesn't count, but we can't help getting excited for a sneak peak at what's to come. The 49ers will spend a week in Baltimore following Thursday's game to hold joint practices and scrimmages.

"We get to see where we are as a team," said Colin Kaepernick. "Especially a lot of young guys that we have, we get see how they play in a live game."

The offense has undergone a lot of changes especially with the newest addition, the 49ers signed running back Glenn Winston and waived/injured running back Kendall Hunter. Also former Bills standout Stevie Johnson gears up for his debut.

"All I've got to do is put my head down and keep working, work with my brothers and see how it goes," Johnson said.

"Stevie is Stevie," said Kaepernick. "He gets open, he makes plays. Very excited to see what he does in live action for us. Stevie's a pro. He's picked up the offense quickly. He makes very few mistakes in the little time that he's been here. As a quarterback you like to see that."
