Chicago musician David Singer has made some of the most infectious indie pop music over the last several years. His debut film, the short Advantage: Weinberg, is no less appealing. Here, David talks with The Interview Show host Mark Bazer at The Hideout in Chicago about the film and then performs a song he wrote for it. The show was recorded Nov. 2, 2012, four days before the election, so David also shares his experiences writing music for campaign ads.

The next Interview Show is Jan. 4, at The Hideout. Guests include Rebecca Skloot, author of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and Homaro Cantu, chef at Moto and author of The Miracle Berry Diet Cookbook.
