We have all heard the phrase, "It's the little things that count." In these days of shrinking airplane seats and limited luggage allowances we truly need to be conscious of the size of everything we carry when traveling. From the dimensions of our bag to all the items we place in it, it seems size really does matter, and the smaller the better. Good things come in small packages, and here are some of our favorite travel items from the petite end of the spectrum.

Flight 001 4-in-1 Travel Adapter
As useful as it is cute, this brightly colored pack of 4 adapters covers all your power needs in 150 countries. Best of all, they are color-coded by country and continent so you know where each can be used.
eBags Travelon 18” Wheeled Under Seat Bag
Large enough for your laptop, toiletries, and a change of clothes, the eBags Travelon fits under your seat, so it will never be gate-checked as you are boarding a plane. Outside pocket holds a tablet, cell phone, and documents, and inside is roomy enough for a weekend trip.
ThinOPTICS Reading Glasses
ThinOPTICS reading glasses fit on your nose-without any stems-and slide right into your smartphone case, and they are perfect for everything from reading your boarding pass to perusing the inflight magazine. Made with optical-grade polycarbonate and bullet-proof glass, they come in thin cases that fit both Apple and Samsung phones.
Scosche BoltBOX Charging Cable
Tired of tangled cords? Made for iPhones, iPods, and iPads, Scosche BoltBOX features a charge and sync lightning cable that retracts into a matchbox-sized plastic enclosure. It fits in your pocket or seatback pouch, and is compatible with any USB outlet or charger.
Picture Keeper
If you take a lot of pictures while traveling, a Picture Keeper is a smart gadget to carry. It’s a USB drive that automatically finds and stores all of your photos, skipping duplicates. If you use multiple devices and cameras while traveling, this is a terrific tool to make sure everything is saved in one place.
Mota 12,000 mAh PowerBank
You will never run out of power during your day with this battery on board. Slim, sleek, and stylish, it will power an iPhone up to 8 times, a Samsung Galaxy 4 times, or an iPad mini twice.
Hood to Go
Be prepared for sudden changes of weather. This mini-vest with attached hood slips under any coat or jacket. Made of water resistant microfiber, the Hood to Go takes up minimal space in a purse or pocket, and will protect your hair in a sudden squall.
Rifle Paper Notebooks and Journals
We love our gadgets as much as the next guy, but sometimes we like to keep it analog by actually writing things down. Rifle Paper Company’s slim travel-themed journals are an elegant way to record the details of one's journey, and they make a thoughtful gift for friends who travel.
Toddy Gear's Tech Pack Boost+
Truly a pocket-sized charger, the Toddy Gear Tech Pack Boost+ comes in a richly patterned microfiber pouch with matching cleaning cloth and a micro USB charging cable. With 2200 mAh of power on board, it will bring your phone back to life when you need to hail UBER or show your mobile boarding pass.
Platypus SoftBottle
It rolls up, weighs next to nothing, and best of all is free to fill at water fountains. Perfect for the gym, a day in the city, or a plane ride, and it stashes in your bag when it’s empty. Imagine how much you will save if you never have to buy overpriced airport water again!
Buddy Pouch
For those times that you wish you had another hand, or at least another pocket, the Buddy Pouch is a magnetic, hands-free pouch that attaches over your waistband. You can carry your smartphone, passport, ID, credit card, or keys securely at your hip, either through the airport or on the hiking trail.
InCase Icon Pack
This streamlined backpack lets the world know you mean business. Large enough to hold a 15” MacBook but sleek enough to keep you from looking like a wandering hippie, the Icon Pack has multiple pockets to keep you organized and a cable port so you can listen to music or charge your phone while moving through the airport.
Genius Pack High Altitude Flight Bag
Carry it on top of your roll aboard or slip it inside a briefcase or backpack—either way this little bag will make you wonder how you ever flew without it. The High Altitude Flight Bag attaches to the seat tray in front of you to maximize space, keeping your tablet, magazines, passport, phone, glasses, and other essentials within reach all through your flight.
