It's Blogosphere Day: Support ActBlue

It's Blogosphere Day, and this year the cause the progressive blogosphere is coming together to support is ActBlue. Today, on, Matt Stoller, Chris Bowers, Tim Tagaris, and I are focusing on raising as much money as we can for ActBlue, which is one of the most exciting new developments in progressive politics in the quarter-century plus that I have been working in this movement. ActBlue allows those of us who are not rich, and do not represent big money special interests like oil, insurance and pharmaceutical companies, to influence who is able to raise enough money to have a chance at winning a seat in Congress or state legislatures. ActBlue creates a platform for small donors to organize each other and quickly and easily reach out to their friends. That platform made possible the raising of millions of dollars for great candidates like Jim Webb, Jon Tester, Carol Shea-Porter, Jerry McNerney and Patrick Murphy.

Please, give to ActBlue today. We need to show the big money special interests that the people can organize themselves to fight back effectively. Supporting ActBlue directly, allowing them to expand their reach, will do more to strengthen progressive politics than any other contribution you could make.

For more information on ActBlue, check out their site at or go to Open and read more about why Matt, Chris, Tim, myself and so many others are excited about what they are doing.
