Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) pushed for the probe into alleged "human rights abuses" at the jail.

House Republicans have been calling for spending cuts, but the White House says Congress should raise the debt limit with no strings.
The GOP-led House Oversight Committee is investigating the president over the documents, but has no plans to probe Donald Trump's cache of government files.
“President Trump had no influence on the votes, myself or any of my colleagues," said Rep. Bob Good, one of the "Never Kevin" holdouts.
The Senate majority leader said he hopes the House GOP will reject extremists within their ranks.
“The GOP regards paying taxes not as a way of supporting the nation, but as an obligation to be avoided,” noted an editorial in The Charlotte Observer.
