Measles Outbreak
The attendant aboard a New York to Tel Aviv flight has been in a "deep coma" with brain swelling, a health official said.
New York City ordered mandatory measles vaccinations in parts of Brooklyn earlier this month amid a broad outbreak of the virus.
As of last week, 555 cases had been reported in 20 states, up from 15 states earlier this month.
In just the first three months of 2019, the U.S. has already logged a disturbing surge in the illness, which was proclaimed eliminated in 2000.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Recent outbreaks have tended to be in communities with lower vaccination rates.
Measles cases have surged to the second-highest number reported in the U.S. in 25 years.
Rockland County, near New York City, is declaring a state of emergency over measles.
"Our worst fears are being realized as measles outbreaks spread across the country," the AAP said.
The Wisconsin man allegedly said he was "going crazy" after several days in his house. It's not clear whether he was infected or just recently exposed.
Researchers examined all children born in Denmark from 1999 to 2010 ― a group of 657,461 children.
