Mick Mulvaney

Republicans had hoped Mick Mulvaney would help Trump reconsider his unorthodox position on retirement programs.
The cuts will help fund a proposed $54 billion expansion of the U.S. military budget.
The legislation would expand the payroll tax on high earners to boost benefits for everyone.
Mulvaney hasn’t been trying to get the rich to pay their fair share for Social Security. Instead, he's been busy trying to cut benefits for everyone else.
"Your recommendation is that we should deny 2½ million women their choice of health care."
"I am deeply concerned about your lack of support for the military," McCain told him.
Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) avoided contradicting the president and his advisers, however.
The nomination will require Senate confirmation.
