The Trump campaign called on the Republican National Committee to cancel the “boring and inconsequential" debates.
“Donald, I know you’re watching. You can’t help yourself," the former governor of New Jersey began.
You may have heard this argument before, and you'll almost certainly hear it again. But there’s very little to back up the claim.
“He should be on this stage tonight,” said Florida's Republican governor, who has long been reluctant to attack the former president.
Seven candidates are participating in Wednesday's debate — but not the GOP front-runner.
Republicans are meeting for their second presidential debate as top rivals seek to blunt the momentum of Donald Trump.
“I think it’s a missed opportunity for Donald Trump and I think it’s a missed opportunity for Republican voters," the former vice president said.
The debate will air on Fox Business and Univision, which will broadcast the event in Spanish.
