Random Acts of Kindness: Pay It Forward!

Think about a couple of things that you can do today to show a random act of kindness to a complete stranger, a co-worker, or someone that you may not speak with regularly. Imagine that small act putting a smile on someone's face, or totally making their day.

The other morning, while on the way to work -- yes, I still work a 9 to 5, unless you or someone you know would like to extend a huge partnership deal to me, invite me to work for a magazine, or just anything else that has to do with writing, I'll graciously accept. Yes, I was serious. Now, back to being on my way to work. As I pulled up to the Chick-fil-A drive-through, I placed my order as I normally do, and when I got to the window, the young lady informed me that the lady in the car in front of me, paid for my breakfast, and the message relayed was, "have a great day, and pay it forward." Now, I have heard of this random act of kindness via social media, or a friend or two telling me that it had happened to them, and I would "like" their status on Facebook, comment, or simply tell them how awesome it was, but it never happened to me until now. It was kind of a shock and a beautiful feeling that kindness, and kind-hearted people still exist in the world.

What if everyone did this? What if everyone who were recipients of this paid it forward? I'll be honest, this truly made my morning, because in life, it is always the little things.
