I know a teacher who has forever gone beyond the call of duty for her students. After I heard story after story about her generosity of spirit and her kindness, I began to refer to this teacher as Mother Teresa.

The latest is that this teacher noticed some subtle clues about a girl's behavior and wondered if it could be a cry for help. She contacted the girl's parents, every single one of the girl's teachers and the principal to alert everyone.

A colleague commented that he wondered about this girl's behavior and he was so glad someone took the lead in reaching out to alert everyone.

Mother Teresa once said: "I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things."

I'm grateful this girl has such a caring teacher in her life, a Mother Teresa no less.
