Let's be fair. Charlie Sheen is a big talent, who can rescue a TV show in trouble (He was called in to fix Spin City in 2000 when Michael J. Fox became ill). And he is comfortable in a big screen box office smash (think Platoon and Wall Street).
But, I think, we Americans make allowances for talented people; forgiving bad behavior we would not forgive ourselves.
