Facebook Beats Yahoo In US : MediaBytes with Shelly Palmer February 18, 2010

Facebook is now the second most visited website in the US. The social network recently surpassed Yahoo in traffic, garnering over 133 million hits last month. The move shows that social network growth will continue to skyrocket, as they become even more ingrained into our digital lives.

As the Olympics continue, criticism of NBC's coverage increases. Yesterday NBC did not air the Women's Downhill live, in favor of showing the event during prime time. American skier Jake Zamansky expressed his concern on Twitter, tweeting "Can't wait to see how bad NBC covers ski racing today," a tweet that was automatically fed to NBC's website.

Tiger Woods is set to break his silence this Friday. The press conference, scheduled for 11am on Friday, will be broadcast on multiple networks, as well as on UStream. Tiger is expected to announce that he is ready to once again play on the PGA Tour.

HBO's new online streaming service is now available online. Verizon FiOS HBO subscribers are the first to be able to access HBO GO, however, Comcast's xfinity TV service offers a mirrored version of HBO GO on its site. While there are currently no plans to open up the site to non-HBO cable subscribers, the company does plan on hosting "three times the content of what's on HBO On Demand today."
