How To Contain Plastic Bags

Most people squirrel away more plastic bags than they will ever use. A better approach than stuffing them under the sink is to choose a receptacle for the bags and never keep more than can fit in that container. Many stores now offer recycling drops for plastic bags -- take advantage of these! Look for plastic bag holders that adhere to the inside of a cabinet door. A green alternative is to reduce your household consumption of plastic by bringing your own bags to the grocery store. Nylon or canvas reusable shopping bags that stuff into an integrated sack are light and compact and fit easily into a purse or pocket.
