Understanding Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

What if we lived in a world where, if you imagined something, it actually came to life? What would you wish for? Money? World peace? A new career? But, what if I told you that we already live in a world like this? And the key to unlocking this ability is you, yes You! You have all the control.

If you don't like your job, quit. If you need more time, make time and get off the computer. If you want to to travel, pack up your suitcase and get on that airplane. You might think: "Tali it's not that easy," but let me tell you it is! Liberate yourself from the small minded way of thinking, let go of what you think your road should be and create your own lane. "Where there's a will there's a way" my father would always preach, and every time he'd say that I would roll my eyes and say "Ok". Little did I know that the very statement I'd roll my eyes at would become my life motto.

Do not stress: if you can control your circumstances then you have the ability to change them as well. Stress is the very thing that could break us if we don't pay close attention to how we react to it. Did you know that stressing is a sin? In the Bible it clearly states that you should surrender all your worries to God. I want you to picture that; all your worries, your problems you give it to God. If you had someone worrying for you, how wonderful would that be? If you trust in the Lord you will know no worries, which is really the meaning of eternal peace. If you don't believe in God then think about it in terms of the universe. Release all your worries to the universe.

However, let's be clear, don't begin thinking that everything that you stress over you can just sit back, relax and not do anything about. If you have the ability to change something about it then do it! There's nothing that stands in between you and a better version of you besides yourself. When you think of surrendering, you perhaps think of giving in or relinquishing power after a battle. I want to challenge you to think of surrendering as actually being free. If you are taking part in this battle called life, the ability to throw in your white flag and let go should be liberating, right? To be able to lift your arms and give all your worries to God or the universe is the what I would like you to imagine when you think about surrendering.

Choice, such a simple yet complex phenomena. How come we always feel as though we have no choice? We live in the land of the free. Slavery is illegal, we have freedom of speech, gay people can get married, and you mean to tell me you feel like you have no choice?! Maybe we feel as though we have so many choices that we can't decide what to choose. But, why? Why is it that we don't do what we want? Are we defined by this systematic way of living that we seem to think that things in our lives must go in a certain order?

We all have the choice to be, do and become whatever it is that our hearts desire; this is the land of opportunity. So often we go through life always explaining why we don't have a choice. We can't quit that job because you have bills to pay, we can't take that trip because we have no time or money. Just do it; Like Nike, we go out and become who we want to be. It may not be easy and society may hold us back, but we have what it takes. We can no longer be fearful.

Marianne Williamson wrote in her book A Return to Love "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us." Liberation, that is when you give yourself permission to do what you choose and realize the strength that your mind has. We have the freedom to choose why not utilize it when other nation can not do so; we must understand that some countries don't allow the simplest action such as voting, democracy is not an option everywhere. You think therefore you shall become; there's no reason for us not to live in a state of mind that is controlled by anything outside of ourselves. We need to stop allowing ourselves to become puppets that act on what the people around us expect from us or what society has instilled in us.When we self actualize we not only give ourselves the freedom to fulfill our true potential and shine but we inspire others to do as well.

You must become what you aspire in order to inspire. The ability to become a light in this world is achieved through allowing yourself to find the passion that your heart burns for; by doing this you are living as the manifestations of God. You must let go of your worries, realize your choices and embrace your freedom by surrendering; you will know you have reached this realm when you are sincerely delighted and living with love in your hearts; all the time.
