So I'm off on tour with Jim Gaffigan: The 2013 White Bread Tour. We are on a 16-city tour of the South.

My goal is twofold. One: To give you great readers a sense of what life is like for an opening act on the road. Two: To see the USA! This will be a great opportunity to see the real America. Or will it? I'm finding it difficult to see much of anything so far except the interstate highway system. One of my first problems is finding a good, strong cup of coffee. After two days of driving, I've reached our first stop: Richmond, Va., home of... I'm not sure yet. Hopefully I'll have a minute to find out.
