The musician, once signed to DeGeneres' record label, told Rolling Stone the "opportunistic" talk show host "abandoned" him after his music underperformed.
The fellow comedian turned daytime TV veteran said she "never really got over" a comment DeGeneres made about her in a conversation with Larry King.
DeGeneres and Heche dated from 1997 to 2000.
