Kotsur’s history-making Best Supporting Actor nod follows that of his “CODA” co-star Marlee Matlin, who was the first deaf woman to win Best Actress.
Matlin, who won Best Actress for her role in "Children of a Lesser God," dusted off those memories at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
The airline responded to her remarks on Twitter, explaining that “most” of their aircraft with “seatback screens have closed captioning.”
