Timothy Hale-Cusanelli was reprimanded for mockingly sporting a Hitler mustache at the New Jersey Naval Weapons Station where he was a security contractor.
The sailors had returned to duty on the aircraft carrier after previously testing negative. They have all been taken off the ship.
Navy officials confirmed the videos' existence last fall while insisting at the time that the footage should never have been made public.
The death comes after the ship's captain, Cpt. Brett Crozier, was fired after pleading with his superiors for more help combatting the coronavirus.
"I certainly don't question his motives," Vice Adm. Bill Merz said of Crozier, who was relieved from the USS Roosevelt after speaking out about the coronavirus.
The aircraft carrier now has more than 400 confirmed cases after its captain was ousted for expressing concern about the virus.
The Navy head had lambasted Capt. Brett Crozier, who was removed from command of a coronavirus-stricken warship.
The confirmed case "will not affect the ability for Comfort to receive patients," the Navy said.
