SEATTLE, WA- With Super Tuesday's results inconclusive, Hillary Clinton's camp has been hard at work organizing in anticipation of this Saturday's caucus in Washington State. Says Kendee Yamaguchi, the Clinton campaign coordinator for the 41st Legislative District of King County, which includes Mercer Island. "Over the past few weeks, our work has been similar to other campaigns; we are making sure that people are aware of the caucuses, and encouraging them to go out and caucus."

Yamaguchi said that she is "more strongly inclined to support Clinton because of her strong platform stances." Yamaguchi praised Clinton's support of lowering the financial burden on college students, citing her own experience with financial stress while obtaining a law degree.

She also spoke out in support of Clinton's health care plan. "I took a step back and looked at what had been done, and what could be done," and this led to Yamaguchi's decision to support and campaign on behalf of Clinton.

Yamaguchi personally felt the Clinton campaign had a very organized base in Washington State, and praised those she has been working with. "It has been an amazing process to be able to see people working hard for Clinton's election."

Yamaguchi expects a large turnout in Mercer Island, and mentioned that Clinton has a high amount of support there among voters.

Over the past week, Clinton has brought in over 20 paid staffers to Washington State and, according to Mitchell, has opened six volunteer centers across the state. "There are now organizers here from Ohio and Nevada," Mitchell stated.

Mitchell explained that the Steering Committee's work has included getting people to the caucuses, calling precinct captains and explaining what to do, and holding caucus training sessions across the state.

In concurrence with this, the National Women's Political Caucus of Washington is holding a Caucus Eve Information Session and Rally at Spitfire in Belltown on the 8th, from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Mitchell said it is open to the public, and that it is geared towards getting younger women involved.

Clinton herself is here to speak at a "Solutions for America" rally tonight down at Pier 30, from 8:00pm - 10:00pm.

Other events geared towards many diverse groups of voters are being held in the Seattle area before and after the caucus on the 9th.
