The rapper appeared onstage for an unexpected tribute to Sean "Diddy" Combs that happened to mention ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The "Queen of Christmas" joined the "Queen of Da Souf" on stage at this year's award ceremony.
The music superstar opened the ceremony with a rendition of her smash single, "About Damn Time."
“Brandy gave that Jack Harlow performance the seasoning it needed,” one Twitter user wrote.
“This is not just a woman’s issue. This is everybody’s issue,” the singer said.
Doja Cat, Ari Lennox and Drake lead the nominees heading into the ceremony, which was hosted by Taraji P. Henson.
