Republican Kris Kobach is asking a federal court to give the state power to refuse requests from transgender people.
The singer said she was “so nervous” before Madonna, who was introducing her performance, “turned around and mouthed” something to her.
The ban would have prohibited doctors from providing gender-affirming hormone treatment, puberty blockers or surgery to anyone under 18.
The judge issued an order stopping Indiana's ban on puberty blockers and hormones for transgender minors from taking effect on July 1.
