Flint Water Crisis
Scott Smith now says there was no scientifically known reason not to use the water for bathing.
City and state officials said they received little advance warning of the decision.
The city hasn’t had clean water for more than 1,400 days.
Flint, Michigan, has been without clean water since 2014.

J.J. Green launched a fundraising campaign after learning investors wanted to take the film out of Flint.
Nick Lyon, head of the state health department, was among those charged.
"I’m not taking a dime.”
Actually, “a complete failure of government” and "systemic racism" led to the man-made disaster, a state commission found.
Critics say the government credit should continue until the state says no filter is needed.
“I appreciate all the work everyone has done to help the citizens and the City of Flint move forward," the mayor says.
